Hinged door installation and repair is more of an art form than you might expect. After many years it is very common for a house to settle and/or foundations to move and shift a tiny bit. As you may be experiencing, even a small change in the structure can cause hinged interior doors, exterior front entry doors and french patio doors to have problems opening and closing, causing a “sticky” feel when you operate them or making them unable to lock properly even after forcing them closed.
