Most of the time, locks tend to be out of alignment rather than broken. The way to test this for yourself is to open the door so that you can see the internal latch (usually you can see a square hole where the lever moves up and down when you activate it) and see if it is actually moving. If it is, but the door is having trouble locking, the door is just misaligned and the lock will begin working as soon as we are done with all repairs and adjustments – no need for a new replacement. If you can see the the internal lock is frozen or broken, that is when you will be looking to replace the locking system. Good news – if we are already there doing a roller repair, we can furnish new at a very cheap cost.
